Understanding Arc's usage-based operational costs alongside your subscription.
Subscription vs. Operational Costs
Arc has two types of costs:
Subscription Fee
A fixed monthly or annual fee covering access to the platform, pipeline management, reporting, and team seats. Managed via Stripe.
Operational Costs
Usage-based costs from underlying AI and data services:

These costs are tracked in the FinOps Dashboard under Settings → Billing.
Controlling Costs
To manage operational spend:
- Voice interviews — only run for candidates that pass initial screening criteria
- Enrichment — use bulk enrichment selectively; prioritise high-Access-Score candidates
- Market trackers — deactivate trackers for disciplines or markets you are not actively recruiting in
- Task Monitor — review Settings → Task Monitor for background jobs consuming credits
FinOps Metrics
The FinOps Dashboard shows:
- Total intelligence spend this period
- Cost per interview (rolling average)
- Placement revenue vs. operational cost — your net recruitment ROI
Use these metrics in your Reports dashboard to calculate ROI per placement.
