Outreach & Messaging
How Arc handles candidate outreach, messaging sequences, and the unified inbox.
Outreach Sequences
Outreach sequences are multi-step engagement campaigns sent to candidates over time. They allow your team to maintain consistent contact without manual effort on every touchpoint.
Creating a Sequence
- Go to Pipeline → Outreach
- Click New Sequence
- Define the steps — each step specifies channel (email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp), delay (days after previous step), and message content
- Set a trigger — typically an Access Score threshold or a pipeline stage entry
- Activate the sequence
Monitoring
The Active Commands tab shows all running sequences with candidates enrolled, steps completed, and response rate. The Orchestration Health panel flags sequences with low engagement for adjustment.
Automatic Pausing
When a candidate replies to any message, Arc pauses their sequence automatically to avoid over-messaging. They appear in the Inbox for manual follow-up.
Unified Inbox
Pipeline → Inbox consolidates all candidate communications into a single view, regardless of channel. Each thread shows full message history, candidate profile context, and a reply input.
Messages are synced from Unipile, which integrates LinkedIn, email, and WhatsApp into a single API.
Transactional Emails
Arc sends system emails for platform events:
| Event | Recipient |
|---|---|
| Team invitation | Invited member |
| Interview scheduled | Candidate and recruiter |
| Password reset | Account holder |
| Verification code | Account holder (for destructive actions such as team deletion) |
Transactional email requires SMTP credentials configured in the environment. Arc supports any SMTP-compatible provider — Resend, SendGrid, and Postmark are recommended.
Video Interview Invitations
To invite a candidate to a Tavus video interview:
- Open the candidate profile
- Go to the Interviews tab
- Click Send Video Interview Invite
The candidate receives a link to join their session. Completion and responses update on the candidate profile automatically.
